The Cleric

Healing with the light, fire, water, and death. The Cleric is a natural born healer. While other wielders of light are squeamish about utilizing anything other than the light, the Clerics in Telara are not afraid to embrace much darker magics for healing and causing havoc. Don't mistake them though, they can fight with the best. Either from a distance with a tome or up close with a massive mace, Clerics won't hesitate to slaughter all in their path.

Specs that might enjoy the Cleric:

Protection Paladin

Holy Paladin

Unholy Death Knight

Restoration Shaman

Enhancement Shaman

Balance Druid

Mistweaver Monk

Fire Mage

Holy Priest

Discipline Priest

Shadow Priest

Affliction Warlock

Destruction Warlock

Purifier

Sentinel

BY FIRE BE PURGED! The Purifier has one mission, to heal you so good it burns. Purifiers use fire to heal their allies or create bubbles from fire. If you enjoy smoldering flesh, the Purifier is for you. Besides an AoE fire based purge, the Purifier can summon a massive wall of fire to cremate their enemies and can battle rez as well. Fire Mages and Discipline Priests and even Mistweaver Monks would enjoy this soul.

Leading the Cleric souls is the Justicar, a tank soul. Similar to a Protection Paladin, the Justicar wields the light along with a one-handed weapon and a shield. The Justicar not only draws their abilities from mana but a secondary resource known as Convictions to be used to further enhance their abilities. The Justicar also has a collection of group healing abilities to further support their allies in combat.

Bound by light, the Sentinel is a single target healer that strongly resembles a Holy Priest. Along with the strong healing, they also have abilities that reduce incoming damage and a battle rez. They can also contribute to the damage meters by healing, Sentinels can mark a friendly ally with an ability that will inflict damage on that ally's target when said ally receives healing from the Sentinel. If you've ever played any Holy spec Paladin or Priest, the Sentinel will feel like slipping on an old shoe.

Justicar

Warden

Enjoy the idea of crushing enemies and healing allies alike with massive monsoons and devastating waves? The Warden is a group healing soul with a focus on water based healing. Restoration Shaman and even some Restoration Shaman should feel right at home with the Warden. They can rez during combat and even have a Dark Simulacrum ability reflecting one hostile spell cast at the Warden every 30 seconds, along with a group based Earth Shield ability.

Defiler

They're going to heal you even if it kills you, the Defiler does exactly as their name suggests. While technically an offensive soul, the Defiler draws from a wide skill set of shadowy abilities that allows them to heal, deal damage, combat rez, mitigate damage, and even transform themselves into an abomination. Just pay no mind to the warts you may grow from their heals. If the idea of a Warlock healer sounds interesting to you, then give the Defiler a spin. The Defiler is only available through the Storm Souls pack sold on the in-game store.

Oracle

Druid

Shaman

Inquisitor

Cabalist

While Druid's do not shape shift into cats, bears, or boomkins they give their enemies reasons to fear them. Druids summon fae defenders deep from the plane of life to aid them. Druids can summon fae that either tank, heal, or do melee or ranged damage. They also overwhelm their enemies with nature based abilities, a powerful two-handed weapon, and a Shadowstep ability. While not very similar to Druids from Warcraft, those Druids and even some Restoration Shaman who wanted to do some melee combat might want to try out the Druid.

While the Shaman don't talk to the elements in Telara, they do manipulate the forces of air and water to unleash a devastating hailstorm. Shaman are melee combatants who manage massive blows and DoT effects and powerful crits to destroy their enemies. They also create a intimidating synergy between physical and non-physical damage with passive abilities that feed these two aspects of damage. Enhancement Shaman and Frost Death Knights are prime candidates to become Shaman.

With a focus on buffing their allies and debuffing their enemies, Oracles are essential assets to any group. The Oracle is a support soul managing Insignia and Emblem abilities to inflict shadow and water based damage, healing, and minor bubble abilities for their allies. The Oracle is another soul that Warlocks, Shaman, or Discipline Priests might enjoy playing. The Oracle is available through the Dream Souls pack on the in-game store.

The Inquisitor is the epitome of the Cleric calling. The Inquisitor is a single target ranged soul that balances life with death. Death based abilities will feed into life based abilities making them more effective, and vice versa. Inquisitors are the medium between Shadow Priests and Holy priests, though they lack the healing abilities of the Holy Priest. If you've ever wanted to play as a Holy DPS Priest, welcome to your new home.

The dark within the light, Cabalist focus on death based AoE damage. With a heavy focus on killing everything in a 10 mile radius, Cabalists can trigger AoEs while they're casting other AoEs. They can also buff their allies with a Mass Spell Reflect ability, debuff enemies, and even summon enemies to the Cabalist's location. Warlocks, Fire Mages, and even Unholy Death Knights would enjoy the Cabalist soul.
